Asynchronous Trigger Mode of the JAI M10 BX
Question
What is the difference between H-reset and H-Non-Reset of triggering
asynchronously the
JAI M10 BX?
Answer
The
JAI M10 BX features two external
asynchronous trigger modes: Edge Pre-Select and Pulse Width Control. Both
modes may be used in either H-Reset or H-Non-Reset mode, which are
slightly different:1. H-Reset Mode:In H-Reset Mode the internal HD is
being reset with the falling edge of the trigger pulse; after that, exposure
starts without further delay. 2. H-Non-Reset:Exposure does not start
immediately, but is latched to the HD pulse following the falling edge of the
trigger pulse. Therefore the exposure start may have a delay of up to one HD
(64µs) relative to the trigger pulse. Additionally, in Pulse Width Control mode
the actual exposure time may vary by up to 1 HD, which, however, is hardly
noticed if the exposure time is significantly longer than 1 HD.The JAI M10 BX up
to Rev. D only supports HReset, wherease Rev. F features both modes.
