When connected to robot arms, cables are frequently twisted and flexed. In order to make sure they bear up against these strong mechanical operational demands robotic cables undergo special tests prior to use.
Like track chain cables robotic cables have to pass flex tests and flexing cycle tests. Therefore robotic cables are also suitable for use in track chains.
In addition to that robotic cables have to successfully complete a torsional flex test in which the cable is repeatedly twisted up to 360 degrees on its own axis.
