STEMMER IMAGING introduces the Gardasoft VTR3, a new integrated enclosure for traffic monitoring applications, complete with camera, lens and high brightness infrared or white LED lighting technology. This low maintenance system is ideally suited for use in inaccessible locations. The rugged, environmentally-protected enclosure is rated to IP 66 and can be supplied as a fully tested integrated solution or as hardware and mounting components for final assembly by the installer.
The new Gardasoft VTR3 enclosure features a high-brightness strobed LED illumination source from Gardasoft Vision Ltd. Designed for ANPR applications such as car park entry/exit or average speed installations spanning many lanes, this efficient, stable infrared strobe source has a much longer lifetime than traditional filament bulb or xenon based solutions, minimizing the need for repair or replacement. In addition, only low voltages are used, removing electrical safety issues during maintenance.
The lights can strobe in sync with a free running camera, or they can accept an external trigger signal to synchronise the light with a camera. Available in a range of wavelengths (740nm, 850nm and 940nm as well as white light) and various beam angles the lights can be configured to meet the spectral needs of the imaging system, along with the field of view.
Additional options for the Gardasoft VTR3 include a GigE Ethernet switch, local power supply unit, power over Ethernet (PoE), local digital IO, trigger source, lens controller. External control for the installed components is provided using Ethernet or RS232.
