The Xcelera-CL VX4 is a Windows® XP and Windows 7 (32/64-bit) compatible CameraLink interface-based industrial vision processor which utilises the PCI Express x4 interface. Capable of image acquisition from a Base, Medium or Full CameraLink industrial vision camera, the Xcelera-CL VX4 frame grabber has an extended feature set that supports the advanced CameraLink machine vision camera interface pixel/tap configurations.
Fully supported by Sapera APF, an integrated graphical FPGA development environment, the X64 Xcelera-CL VX4 frame grabber provides real-time FPGA based hardware processing. This processing platform combines an ACU (Acquisition Control Unit), DTE (Data Transfer Engine) and IPU (Image Processing Unit) with highly optimised memory architecture, making it capable of handling a variety of complex, real-time image processing tasks including iterative processing loops.
Sapera APF simplifies traditional FPGA development processes for software and hardware engineers by combining a point and click graphical interface with over 150 imaging functions in FPGA based image processing libraries. It allows the development of simple, single pass or complex iterative algorithms, and can verify designs to cut down development time. Sapera APF also automatically generates the necessary infrastructure to call user functions using the Sapera Software Development Kit. This allows users to create, debug, and deploy FPGA code without ever leaving the development GUI, dramatically improving ease of development and time to deployment.
Teledyne DALSA is one of the largest companies serving the machine vision industry and is unique in that it is vertically integrated; from sensor design and manufacture, through image capture and processing, to software for imaging optimisations and analysis.
