STEMMER IMAGING: Growth faster than the market

STEMMER IMAGING, Europe's largest supplier of technology for imaging and machine vision, generated a turnover of 63.4 million euros in the 2013/14 fiscal year which represents a growth of 10 percent compared to the previous year.

On 30th June 2014, STEMMER IMAGING ended the 2013/14 financial year with a very positive result: With offices in Germany, Great Britain, France, Switzerland and the Netherlands, the company achieved a combined turnover of 63.4 million euros, a rise of more than 10 percent on the previous year’s result.

The UK office contributed considerably to the total turnover with a turnover of 9.5 million pounds and a strong sales growth of 15.0 percent exceeding all market growth estimates for the UK and Europe. Mark Williamson - Director Corporate Market Development commented “A combination of a very motivated team, the improving UK economy and the global success of our customers have contributed to this achievement."

Europe’s largest market, Germany, and location of the company’s headquarters, exceeded its previous year’s result by 10.2 percent, reaching 39.2 million euros. “With this result, we outperformed the German imaging and machine vision market, which, according to the VDMA, increased by 8.1 percent from 2012 to 2013 and is forecast to grow by another 10 percent in 2014”, Managing Director Christof Zollitsch was happy to announce.

Other countries also performed well, with the Benelux organisation achieving the highest growth with 16.6 percent. Sales of Parameter, the company acquired on January 1st 2014, with its subsidiaries in Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Poland are not included in the figures.

10 years STEMMER IMAGING in Europe

1st July 2014 marked the tenth anniversary of the foundation of the European STEMMER IMAGING organisation. “Throughout this period, we were able to triple not only our sales but also the headcount and to establish the company as the largest technology supplier for imaging and machine vision in Europe”, Zollitsch underlines the positive development over the past years. “With the integration of our new subsidiaries in Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Poland, we have a good foundation for further growth of STEMMER IMAGING, which benefits our customers in Europe by providing a comprehensive range of products and services, a high level of delivery reliability and local support by experienced experts.”
