From November 2015 to March 2016, STEMMER IMAGING and the European Imaging Academy organised five Vision Technology Forums in Germany, France, the Netherlands, the UK and Sweden. The two-day forum in Germany was the biggest event with around 500 participants. The combination of technical presentations, an accompanying table top exhibition from leading machine vision suppliers and an entertaining evening programme in a relaxed atmosphere provided a perfect setting for networking and for interesting discussions.
The other locations are also thrilled by the number of attendees and their quality. Mark Williamson, Director – Corporate Market Development, is particularly pleased by the fact, that more than half of the UK participants have never attended a company event before.
This trend could be seen at all five events and, according to Astrid Sommerkamp, Marketing & Events Manager at STEMMER IMAGING, it shows clearly how important it is for machine vision users to learn about the current state of technology. „The attendees could create their personal presentation schedule and could choose those topics from up to five parallel presentations which offer the biggest benefits for their daily work.“
The majority of presentations were held by the representatives of leading imaging providers whose products are distributed by STEMMER IMAGING. The speakers, who were asked for talks from a technological perspective without focusing on the product itself, fully complied with this request. In addition to the technical talks, hands-on sessions offered the opportunity for practical application of the technologies presented.
Due to this huge success, STEMMER IMAGING will continue the event series in autumn 2017. For information on future forums please visit the STEMMER IMAGING website. Exact dates and venues will be published in the autumn of 2016.
STEMMER IMAGING has been leading the machine vision market since 1987. It is Europe's largest technology provider in this field. In 1997 STEMMER IMAGING presented Common Vision Blox (CVB), a powerful programming library for fast and reliable development and implementation of vision solutions, which has been deployed successfully throughout the world in more than 40,000 imaging applications in various industries.
